"With all this attention being given to Residential Schools, I just want to say that a friend of mine was pretty much blacklisted for trying to draw attention to this way before it became the cause du jour and well before it was considered acceptable. She has always been sensitive to Native issues was is a real ally to indigenous people because she is one of a different tribe. She never gets enough credit in my view so I am gonna say it here.
Thank you Rhonda , you should know that it is in fact appreciated and I am sorry some of the indians you know personally are fair weather friends. You deserve better.

You were black listed in your own industry by the asshats and that not enough indians stood up for you when it was your turn for some support.

That movie was the first time I ever saw something from a non indian who addressed what happened to us in a respectful and honest manner. usually its virtue signalling bullshittery lol, you handled it with such delicacy. and you did all this long before anyone else.
I just think you should be recognized for being a pioneer in this and it irks me that your name is not shared more as someone who really made the discussion happen when nobody else even tried ."
